Represents our mission, to protect our client's real estate patrimony. Prudence and good sense are the qualities that she posses and it seems that because of this, she is considered to be the Goddess of Wisdom.
She was usually called Pallas Athena or Parthenos, Virgin, being a virgin goddess. Greece´s capital Athens and the temple Parthenon were both dedicated to and named after her. Interestingly, when Greece became Christian the Parthenon was instead converted into the church of another Virgin: Mary, mother of Jesus. The most important celebration of Athens was the Panathenea, dedicated to the goddess and held every four years. According to myth, Athena had earned the title of patron goddess of Athens after a competition against Poseidon, who also wanted the city. Poseidon gave the Athenians a well, but it was useless since its water was from the sea. Athena then gave the people the first olivetree, a much more useful gift. This made her the winner. She was the goddess of wisdom and the patron of tactics and strategic war, she also protected cities – besides Athens was also the patron goddess of several other, notably Sparta – industries, agriculture, arts and crafts Athena had also given much to humanity: the plough, the flute, the wagon, shipbuilding, animaltaming and shoemaking. In a way, she can be credited with having provided man with all the knowledge needed for the foundation of the civilization. The owl was the animal that symbolized her and the Acropolis was said to be full of owls in ancient Athens. The Greek Athenian Owl One of the most treasured coins of Collectors worldwide is an ancient silver coin from Greece knows as the Athenian Owl Tetradrachm. The obverse of the coin features the portrait of the helmeted goddess Athena, selected as the logo of Athena Capital, Inc. The reverse of the coin depicts an owl. The Athenian Owl was not just a coin originating from Athens. It was a coin that was known for its silver purity. It stabilized the known world economy, and was accepted everywhere as good legal tender for trade and commerce. As a matter of fact, this coin was such a stabilizing factor that it was manufactured and remained in circulation for over 300 years (from around 430 to 99 B.C.)
